Every February we look forward to the annual fishing derby. All the guys in my family plan a weekend and go ice fishing up at Strawberry. We look forward to this weekend because all the girls and our kids get together. We have a lot of fun, the kids get to play and watch movies and the girls stay up late working on craft projects. We end up just hangin' out in our pj's most the time. This year we decided to make our own earrings. We didn't really know what we were doing, but thanks to my mom, we managed to figure it out just fine. We invited Ashlee's sister (and my sister in law) Amy and her girls to join us. We all ended up making 5-10 pairs each. It was addicting, we just kept making more as the weekend went on. On Saturday, we thought it would be fun to take the kids to Chuck E. Cheeses. It turned out to be a little crazy...just ask Amy. I'm not sure this will be part of the agenda next year. The kids actually had a great time and the pizza was good. We ended up finishing the night off with a snooze cruise to get the kids to sleep. After they were out, we came home and rewarded ourselves with chips, a mega bowl of guacamole and a Coke. The night was bliss!
